Professor Steve McCabe PhD, MSc, BSc

Key Capabilities and Core Competencies:
Steve is an acknowledged and long-standing academic of some 30 years who has worked with numerous organisations in carrying out personal and funded research into methods of achieving improvement and excellence through a variety of techniques including TQM, benchmarking, Business Process Engineering and Lean. His work has been published widely in journals, conferences and texts. Also, Professor McCabe is a qualified assessor for EFQM and has assisted organisations to understand the way in which they can utilise tools and techniques to assist them in their question to attain strategic objectives such as radically enhanced customer service based on the efforts of all those involved in the supply chain.
Steve has taught some key aspects of business, management and organisation primarily to exexutive masters and professional doctorate students and is an experienced examiner and chair of PhD examinations. He has vast experience in the use of action-research as an approach for understanding extant organisational problems and the development of employee-centric solutions. This has occurred both within executive teaching programmes at masters and doctoral level and ‘in-house’ as a change management and organisational transformation consultant.
Professor McCabe has a wealth of experience having served on some committees both within and external to academia and is regularly sought as an external advisor to organisations wishing to develop innovative approaches to strategic thinking. Additionally, Steve's s advice is elicited to inform thinking and investment in new technology and innovation. StÍofán is a regular commentator for the media. He has carried out social and economic analysis for a range of organisations in the public and private sector across a spectrum of sectors.
